SD Card File Transfer

Get a microSD / SD card reader with the correct port for your device. You can also use microSD card adapters or OTG adapters.

  • USB-A microSD card reader
  • OTG USB-C adapter for mobile phones and tablets
  • microSD card adapter
  • multi SD card reader
  • USB-C microSD card reader

Folder Structure

BOOT partition

This is where dtb files and bootlogos are stored.

EASYROMS partition

This is where all the roms (games), launchimages, themes, backups and background music are stored. For a full list of all rom folders and supported filetypes, please refer to the ArkOS wiki or AmberELEC Wiki.

If you can't access the EASYROMS partition, you probably need to assign a drive letter in Disk Management. Here's a short video how to do this.

Accessing the SD card on Android

It's also possible to copy over files with an Android device. But be aware that android automatically creates a few empty folders if a SD card is connected. You can use any file manager that you like. Below are a few examples ("TS-RDF5 USB drive" is the microSD card adapter in this case).

  • Standard File Browser
  • Cx File Explorer
  • Total Commander

USB Flash Drive File Transfer

Connect your Thumb drive (Pen drive, Flash disk, USB drive, Key drive, Memory stick,...) to the OTG port and follow the steps on the ArkOS Wiki or the visual guide below.

  • Confirm: A
  • Back: B
  • Select/Menu: Y
  • Select multiple Files: X
  • OPTIONS -> USB DRIVE MOUNT
  • Start 351Files
  • Navigate to /mnt/usbdrive
  • Navigate to /mnt/usbdrive
  • Select the file(s) you want to copy
  • Open the menu (Y) and click on copy (A)
  • Navigate to the destination folder and paste your file(s)
  • Before removing the USB drive start USB DRIVE UNMOUNT
