You probably need to have access to the hidden linux partition (with ssh-sftp connection for example). Will test it in the near future and update this section.

From the PAN4ELEC changelog:

Customizable ANIMATED BOOT SPLASH. 640x480 MP4s, GIFs, JPG/PNG single image or image sequence. multiple mp4 files will trigger random selection for boot and shutdown. place videos or image files in splash/usr_logo. videos override images. if using video do remember to convert them using Handbrake to 640x480, and quality between 23-26.
